Puridiom offers an extremely easy-to-use, intuitive interface that enables application users to easily and effectively perform their business functions. Being a 100% web-based application, Puridiom’s design has taken advantage of industry standard approaches for the development of such web-based applications. The implementation of role-based security facilitates its use as unauthorized system functions are removed from the end-user’s screen, along with unused fields. This eliminates screen clutter and allows the end-user to focus on their specific job function within the system without having to stumble over unnecessary tasks and fields.

Puridiom is specifically designed for public sector and service-oriented businesses, organizations that do not manufacture a product. It is especially suited for purchasing organizations that procure for consumption materials and services necessary in the operation of any business. Most of Puridiom’s largest users support multiple locations and multiple business entities under one umbrella. Puridiom effectively supports these requirements, allowing for standardization of the procurement process across the entire enterprise.

Puridiom’s requisition process is a simple, easy-to-use online tool for all levels of personnel to compose, track, and review requests. Whether you are requesting goods and/or services for purchase, requiring a price for an item, wanting to get something from your in-house inventory or to replenish inventory, needing to return an item, or buying something against a pre-established contract, Puridiom’s variety of requests makes it effortless. Each request type is controlled through security and provides a more detailed picture of the user’s request history.

When creating a request, the majority of information is automatically built. Information can naturally be changed, but this helps to further streamline the request process. Item data can be free-form entered for one-time buy situations; or selected from pre-approved, managed catalogs within Puridiom; or by accessing a supplier’s online catalog (Puridiom’s Catalog Punchout feature); or through internal or supplier-managed inventory locations. Additionally, other pertinent information such as accounting data can be entered and allocated at the overall request level or for each individual item. Multiple accounts are supported at both levels and can be allocated by dollar or percent.

Upon completing the request, system business-rules can be defined which may require certain information to be supplied or validated before the request can be forwarded for approvals. This can include checks to make sure the request is within budget.

Once forwarded, the request will be automatically routed for approvals. The user is presented with a system-generated approval routing list based on criteria defined within the Approvals Setup. This allows the end-user to know up-front who is responsible for approving their request. At this point, no changes can be made to the request unless it is rejected by an approver or cancelled by the originating requester.
