Puridiom’s Inventory module organizes and manages the stock levels for inventoried items and forms.
For each inventory item, stock levels such as quantity on-hand, quantity on-order, quantity allocated, and quantity available are tracked and managed at bin locations (aisle, row, tier, bin) within multiple physical and virtual warehouses. Additionally, backorder quantities are tracked when in-house supply requests are submitted for quantities exceeding the amount available in inventory. Other important information is maintained for the item and locations. This includes costs (unit, issue, average, last), packaging/pull quantities to control the requested amount at one time, commodity and ABC code information for classification and several more data elements to help manage the item.
In addition to the basic inventory information and stock levels, a Forms Management section allows for the capturing of detailed specifications (i.e. sizes, positioning, bleeds, colors, perforations, etc.) for forms, envelopes, marketing materials, pamphlets, and much more.
Monthly usage and forecasting provide visibility to future needs and a clear picture into the rate of consumption which can be used to ensure an adequate supply is available when needed, avoiding back order and out-of-stock situations. This is automatically controlled with re-order point levels and an auto replenishment process. Economic order and shelf quantities along with maximum allowable quantities help manage the amount to be ordered for replenishment.
Full backorder processing is supported and can be initiated manually or automatically when the inventory item is received within Puridiom’s Receiving process.
A disbursement process allows user generated requests and over-the-counter requests to be fulfilled and finalized. Additionally, user and cost center data is capture for initiating charge backs. Puridiom’s Inventory module supports both FIFO and LIFO costing methods.
Other key inventory functions include online cycle counts, adjustments, moves between bin locations, and transfers from one warehouse to another.
All inventory transactions are logged for auditing purposes and order/receipt history is constantly tracked.
